


Supervisors will acquire a basic knowledge of the hazards and dangers associated with working in confined spaces, create a safe system of work and are familiarized with the rescue techniques. They will be taught how to implement safety measures for confined space entry.

Course Goals
- Give an overview of the hazards associated with confined space entry
- Ensure participants are capable of putting in place safe work practices to ensure a safe place of work when working in confined spaces as it applies to the workplace
- Make sure that they are capable of following emergency procedures in the event of a confined space incident
- Legislation covering entry into a confined space (2001 Confined Space Regulation)
